Logistics Sales Rep - Account Executive Job Description
TMC Transportation, one of the largest employee-owned flatbed transportation companies, is searching for self-motivated Inside Sales Representatives to join our team in our Naperville, IL office! This position has an unlimited earning potential, which includes a base salary and uncapped commission opportunities, as well as, great benefits and an employee stock ownership plan.
Sales Reps Receive:
- Base Salary + Uncapped Commission = $45-55K Average Year 1; $60-70K Average Year 2; $75K+ Average Year 3+

- Initiate sales and marketing calls to prospective or current clients
- Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including heavy cold-calling
- Manage accounts to retain existing relationships
- Act as single point of contact for your customers for their needs from identifying business, negotiating rates, entering orders and following through on service
- Succeed at heavy price and service negotiation with customers and carriers
- Work in conjunction with our current sales team, carrier management team, and Customer Service reps in growing Logistics

Logistics Sales Rep - Account Executive Job Requirements
- 1+ year of successful sales experience, previous transportation/logistics sales experience is a plus
- Proven successful sales experience, previous transportation/logistics sales experience is a plus
- Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a “people person")
- Proficiency with MS Office software; experience with Sales Automation, Customer Relationship Management or web based software programs
- Ability to execute a vision, manages multiple priorities, and achieves results
